Rick's novels capture the fun and adventures of men and women who explore enlightenment in an attempt to better themselves and the world around them.  Sometimes, the characters achieve their goals but most often they stumble along blindly and give the rest of us a humorous insight into the minds of people making mistakes.

Rick's short stories and poems expose the many layers of the mind of a boy growing into a man, falling in and out of love, and learning that the sting of a bee stimulates more words on a page than any minute or two of pain should.

Ultimately, Rick's writing has led him to accept life with open arms and a strong grip.
